• How long will you stay at the party?

  It depends on your event. A small birthday with a family meal afterwards typically runs 2–3 hours of coverage. A milestone birthday with speeches, cake-cutting, and dancing usually needs 4–5 hours. I'll talk through the day's running order with you in advance and we'll agree the coverage window before the event. Extra time can be added if the night runs late.
• Can you photograph evening parties and low-light venues?

  Yes. Evening parties — dim venues, candlelight, a DJ and a dance floor — are a big part of what I shoot. I use fast lenses and, where it suits the mood, a soft bounced flash that lifts faces without flattening the atmosphere or dazzling your guests. The dancing, the speeches, and the cake-cutting under low light all come back crisp and full of life.
• Can you organise group and family photos during the party?

  Of course. Most clients want a handful of posed group shots alongside the candid coverage — the guest of honour with each side of the family, the friends who travelled in, three generations together. I gather people quickly and keep it relaxed so it never stalls the party, then slip back into documenting the day. Send me the must-have groupings in advance and I'll make sure no one is missed.
• What's included in the £350 starting price?

  The starting price covers a short event window (around 2 hours), a pre-event call to talk through your running order, full editing of every selected image, and delivery via a private online gallery within 1–3 weeks. A 48-hour sneak peek of 5–10 favourites is included with every booking. Larger events, evening coverage, and travel beyond Milton Keynes / Buckinghamshire are quoted separately.
• How early should I book event photography?

  4–6 weeks ahead is the sweet spot for most parties — that's usually long enough to confirm your venue, guest count, and a rough running order. For peak periods (December, summer weekends) try to give me 2–3 months. If your event is sooner than that, get in touch anyway — short-notice bookings sometimes work.
• Do you cover parties at home, at a venue, or outdoors?

  All three. I photograph parties in private homes and gardens, at hired venues and restaurants, and at outdoor events — from a back-garden gathering to a hall with a DJ. Each space brings its own light and rhythm, and I adapt to it: window light and lamps indoors, the golden hour outside, and a discreet bounced flash once the evening draws in. Tell me where you're celebrating and I'll plan the coverage around the room.
