The best party photos don’t feel like party photos. They feel like the room you remember being in — the cake-cutting hush, your grandfather laughing mid-toast, the cousins on the dance floor at the end of the night.
I photograph private celebrations the way I shoot weddings: unobtrusively, mostly hand-held, mixing candid reportage with a small set of polished posed shots when it serves the story. You’ll barely notice me working, but you’ll feel the room remember itself in the gallery a few weeks later.

How do I book a family session?
Get in touch via the contact form, WhatsApp, or Instagram — I reply to most enquiries within 24 hours. Once we've agreed on a date and session type, a small deposit secures your booking, with the balance due before the shoot. Family sessions are usually booked 2–6 weeks ahead, but I sometimes have shorter-notice availability for outdoor sessions during the right weather. -
Where do family photoshoots happen?
Outdoor family sessions are most often shot at Willen Lake, Campbell Park, Caldecotte Lake, or The Tree Cathedral — all in Milton Keynes — though I'm happy to travel to a location of your choice in the surrounding area. Studio sessions take place in a controlled indoor space, ideal for cake smash, milestone portraits, and any-weather backups. -
How long will you stay at the party?
It depends on your event. A small birthday with a family meal afterwards typically runs 2–3 hours of coverage. A milestone birthday with speeches, cake-cutting, and dancing usually needs 4–5 hours. I'll talk through the day's running order with you in advance and we'll agree the coverage window before the event. Extra time can be added if the night runs late. -
What's included in the £350 starting price?
The starting price covers a short event window (around 2 hours), a pre-event call to talk through your running order, full editing of every selected image, and delivery via a private online gallery within 1–3 weeks. A 48-hour sneak peek of 5–10 favourites is included with every booking. Larger events, evening coverage, and travel beyond Milton Keynes / Buckinghamshire are quoted separately. -
How early should I book event photography?
4–6 weeks ahead is the sweet spot for most parties — that's usually long enough to confirm your venue, guest count, and a rough running order. For peak periods (December, summer weekends) try to give me 2–3 months. If your event is sooner than that, get in touch anyway — short-notice bookings sometimes work.
