A christening is a quiet day. The ceremony itself usually runs short — readings, prayers, the moment with the priest at the font — and the family gathering afterwards is where most of the time, and most of the photos, will live.
I work the way the day asks me to: quietly from the back or side of the church, mostly hand-held, mixing the natural unguarded moments with a small set of posed family portraits where they earn their place. You’ll barely notice me during the ceremony, and you’ll feel the room remember itself in the gallery a few weeks later.

How do I book a family session?
Get in touch via the contact form, WhatsApp, or Instagram — I reply to most enquiries within 24 hours. Once we've agreed on a date and session type, a small deposit secures your booking, with the balance due before the shoot. Family sessions are usually booked 2–6 weeks ahead, but I sometimes have shorter-notice availability for outdoor sessions during the right weather. -
Do you photograph the ceremony at christenings?
Yes, where the church or officiant allows it. I work quietly from the back or side and rely on natural light wherever possible. If the church is comfortable with flash and we've agreed it in advance, I'll use it sparingly with a soft, non-disruptive setup. I'm happy to call ahead and confirm what's allowed with your church if it helps. After the ceremony, I cover the family gathering with the same unobtrusive approach. -
Where do family photoshoots happen?
Outdoor family sessions are most often shot at Willen Lake, Campbell Park, Caldecotte Lake, or The Tree Cathedral — all in Milton Keynes — though I'm happy to travel to a location of your choice in the surrounding area. Studio sessions take place in a controlled indoor space, ideal for cake smash, milestone portraits, and any-weather backups.
